In every work milieu there are a predetermined set of ethical standards the alliance has put forth for its employees to abide by. But in the technologically prodigal paced world of today, the lines of what is ethical and unethical blurs easily. While some bequeath make do that any nurture that is accessible should be able to be train by anyone looking for it, others will argue that just because the education exists on a computer somewhere does not mean it is open stain for all. So how do companies draw the line surrounded by what is right and wrong, between who sees what study, and what information should be posted? They create a set of ethical guidelines. Ethical guidelines are the set of ethics a company will publish for its employees informing them of moral standards the company expects them to uphold. Depending u pon the type of company and the unlike departments in the company various ethical standards can be emphasized. In the broadest terms an ethical guideline usually includes standards about integrity, objectiveness, independence, and confidentiality. Integrity refers to world honest about your job and the work that you do (Needles, Powers 30). In the information systems environment this can mean being truthful about information obtained or presented to other employees, managers, and the public. For example, it would be unethical to publish false information about a client or even something such as false financial statements published on the Internet.
